Year-round "Hall Riverside Retreat" is close to Grayling, Lewiston, and Gaylord, MI. Modern amenities with a "cabin in the woods" feel. Seated directly on the holy waters of the AuSable River. Ideal for fly fishing, kayaking, floating, hiking, snowmobiling and simply relaxing.
Modern amenities such as a washer and dryer, espresso maker, desktop monitor, movie screen and Wi-Fi await. Designated space for remote work, with a desktop monitor.

Beach/Swimming: The river is not ideal for swimming. It is shallow and best for just wading and fishing. Please do NOT remove the fallen trees/branches from the river. They were actually put there for Fly Fishing habitat.
Bedroom Configurations:
Bedroom #1: 1st floor-Master Bedroom- King size bed
Bedroom #2: 1st floor- Queen size bed
Bedroom #3: Lower level- Queen size bed (there are some additional floor mattresses on this level as well)
Boats: There are three 1-person kayaks available for use (seasonal)
Boat Launch: Not on property. To kayak, take a right out of the driveway and drive one mile to bridge. Park car there, and put in off bridge (stairs on the north side). Float back and you will end up back at the cabin
Cable: There is not traditional cable but the TV's are equipped with fire sticks and capable of streaming
Cell Phone Service: Most major carriers have good service
Coffee Maker: There is a drip and espresso machine- a grinder and beans are provided

Drugs/Smoking/Fireworks: Freshwater does not permit illegal drugs of any kind on the property. Due to the location of the properties, smoking is strongly discouraged around the home and strictly prohibited in the home. Fireworks are prohibited at a Freshwater location for the safety of all persons in and around the property, even if it is legal in that city.
Fireplace: Yes, wood burning (firewood not provided)
Fire-pit: Yes, a portable fire pit is available for use. PLEASE do not use on lower-level deck, right under upper deck for safety. Also please check the DNR website for Fire Danger as it can change daily.
Fishing: THIS IS A FLY-FISHING ONLY SECTION OF THE AU SABLE. Please be sure to bring your own poles as there are none at this property. Also, in order to fish in Michigan lakes and rivers, one is required to hold a fishing license. There is information at the cottage regarding the rules for Fly Fishing. There are multiple lakes in the area if you would like to Fish with a regular rod and tackle, Shumac Lake, East & West Twin Lake, Turtle Lake and many more. Pets: This is a pet friendly, 1 dog is welcome. Due to the close proximity of neighbors and yard not fenced in your pet will need to be on a lead and monitored

Snowmobiles: a person (resident and nonresident) that operates a snowmobile in Michigan is required to purchase a snowmobile trail permit. The trail permit enables snowmobilers to ride state-designated trails and thousands more miles of public roads and on public lands (where authorized). State-designated trails are open Dec. 1-March 31 and grooming occurs when there is enough snow on the ground.
